2022.01.27 03:22 Patient_Notice01 Can employer delay salary?
Hi. I am an employee. Can my employer delay my cut off salary? (I am not a resignee) Since my manager wasn’t able to approve my timesheet on/before the deadline for the cut off salary. Are there any law that prohibits the employer from delaying my salary or is there a loophole? Thanks so much

While having fun with friends, you ever just think to yourself whats the point of me enjoying this moment if it will no longer be in existence in a couple hours. Just a nihilistic thought I get every now and then I thought to share. But a counter argument to that is to just live in the moment and just enjoy every given moment.

2022.01.27 03:22 lasauvignonblonde I’ve always been weary of setting my expectations too high. Now I’m 28, and I feel like I’ve dated a string of very disappointing men because I was “trying to be realistic”.
How do you strike a balance between:
Giving people a chance / not setting unrealistic expectations
And finding the love you deserve / never settling

2022.01.27 03:22 Unsubtlenuance Short term collection goals?
Since I recently restarted my collection I’ve been sticking to themes within my collecting, starting out with just grabbing my childhood collection to being able to match the NSO+ library. This though process got me curious on how do y’all decide what games your going to add to your collection I’m looking for goals beyond NSO since it’s offerings are on the short side at the moment and I’m only missing 3 games from the original collection .

2022.01.27 03:22 Klaz48 [30/M] Smelling smoke after being sick twice in a week(not sure if covid), after I possibly got bronchitis.
Duration of complaint: 3-4 Days, Was sick 2 weeks the "smelling smoke" appeared maybe a day after possibly getting bronchitis? (if it even is that)
Any existing relevant medical issues: Sleep Apnea / High blood pressure
Current medications: Amlodipine 5MG
A few weeks ago, almost everyone in my family got sick. A Cousin and her son both tested positive for covid(they dont live with us), while 2 other cousins who do live with me also got sick (they tested negative for Covid). A few days after they got sick, I started to feel sick(I am not vaccinated). The only symptom I had was a sort of "Scratchy throat" when I started to realize I was getting sick. The next day I woke up feeling ill. No symptoms like coughing/stuffy nose/sore throat, just like incredible fatigue, feeling hot, and literally sweating in bed. My Fever was 101.8-102 sometime during the first day of being sick. The second day, I seemed to recover quite well. I was still in bed sleeping all day, but I felt way better. I was actually surprised because I dont think I've ever recovered from being sick this fast. by the end of the second day, my temp was back down to 98.2-98.4 and I did not feel sick anymore. I assumed when I woke up I would be good as new. I was wrong. The next day when I woke up, I started to have symptoms. Sore throat/ Runny nose at first. I didn't feel fatigue however, so I did not stay in bed as much as before. The next day it got way worse. My throat was hurting so bad, my nose was super runny, and I had started to have a dry cough. The fatigue came back, and I could not stand up for more then like 1 minute. Going to the bathroom was horrible. I felt nauseous, like i was gonna pass out... I had to pee sitting down because I could not bare to stand up for some reason. I tried to take a shower one of the days, and I could not do it(standing shower). I would cough a ton, followed by a sort of "gag" reflex. this happened slowly then got worse over the next like 2 minutes being in the shower, where i decided I wouldn't be able to shower, and quickly got out and went back to lay down. I also wasn't able to eat at all. I probably took in less than 500 calories a day, most of which came from Gatorade. So after dealing with whatever this was (I wasn't able to find a covid home test kit, and because I was not able to stand up for more than a few minutes, I never went out to get tested) for a few more days, I started to recover. I believe then I may have gotten bronchitis, but im not 100% sure. I felt as if there was a ton of mucus in my throat, but I never coughed up any mucus during the whole time being sick. The only symptom I had left was the coughing because of mucus being in my throat. Typically, when I woke up in the morning is when it's at it worse. I would always need to clear my throat in the morning, then throughout the day i wouldn't cough as much. (I've currently had this Coughing/Mucus problem for 2 weeks, while I was sick twice in one week, so 3 weeks total)
once my sickness was gone and all that was left was this coughing/mucus, is when I started to smell smoke. It's random. In the beginning i maybe smelled it for a minute or two, like once an hour, then It started to occur more. Now i'm smelling it for maybe 1-2 hours a day while im in my room. (I'd like to note, my room does not have much ventilation to outside, but I do have an air purifier. The only things that could possibly "burn" in my room might be a light/PC/Air purifieoutlet/Mini fridge.) I had a familiar member come to my room and smell it for me, I asked them if they smelled anything burning/smoky/off. When he was here, i actually did smell the smoke for a few seconds. He said he did not smelling anything bad. Now im kinda freaking out because it feels like its getting worse. When I smell it now, sometimes I actually cough because of it,even tho it may not be anything. Im also feeling what i believe is chest/lung pain sometimes (probably happened like 2-3 times in the last 2 days) when I seem to smell the smoke and am feeling slight pain in my chest area. Im not sure what to do. I am going to buy an air quality monitor in case there is something in my room, but the fact that my family member isn't smelling anything when I am is telling me its just me, but I cant explain the pain after smelling it. What should I do?
Edit: One thing I will say about me smelling smoke, It seems to happen most often when I am not preoccupied with something, "bored" or really just not doing anything. If i am doing something that requires constant undivided attention, I don't seem to smell it. Just thought I'd mention that, not sure if it means anything.
